ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion to empower Women and support Moms.  I also enjoy working on issues with Tweens, Teens, and Parents.  Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Postpartum Depression are some of my areas of expertise. My clients appreciate my warmth, humor, and honesty. One of my biggest strengths is my ability to connect quickly with others. I'm able to help you feel comfortable quickly while I "step into your shoes" and feel what it's like to be you and then offer suggestions for you to try.  I'm an active participant in your sessions, which means I offer feedback and suggestions when appropriate. I don't just sit, listen and say "uh-huh".  My honesty, genuineness, and empathy allow you to see the reality of your situation and make the changes you need to get to a healthier place.  I see myself as an advocate for you to live a happier, more empowered life.  I have a solution focused approach, especially when it comes to parenting. This means I give direct suggestions and practical tips that will give you results immediately.

The past 20 years of experience working in the mental health field have given me great opportunities to meet and work with some truly amazing people.  That experience includes working as a crisis counselor, mental health worker at a psychiatric hospital, school & classroom therapist for several different Non-Profits and my Private Practice. I earned both my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (1998) and my Master's Degree in Counseling from San Francisco State University (2002). My practice is located in San Ramon, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area's East Bay.  Many of my clients come to me from the Alameda and Contra Costa counties including, the cities of Fremont, Livermore, San Ramon, Dublin, Danville, Alamo, and Lafayette.

I am a Wife and a Mother of 3 children. In addition to my career, I am passionate about my family, cheering on my children, spending time with our dogs, and kickboxing.
